Hi! I'm Matthew and I'm currently studying NC Digital Media at North East Scotland College.
I am an avid gamer and enjoy playing games on consoles. I am often seen playing on my PS4 and PS3 in my spare time. I enjoy playing most types of games, but my favourite genres are racing and action- adventure, Gran Turismo 5 is one of my favourite games and I am looking forward to playing the upcoming Watchdogs.

HIGHWAY RACER
The first game I'm reviewing is HIGHWAY RACER. This game is a very addictive arcade racer game.
Your goal is to reach the finish point while trying to avoid oncoming traffic. The speed of the car increases as you get nearer to the finish point, with the speed increasing as you progress thru the 6 levels.
You start off with 50% health, each crash losses you 10%. Luckily you get slow-motion to help get out of those tricky situations of oncoming traffic in all 4 lanes!
The controls are very simple, Left: left arrow key. Right: right arrow key. Slow-motion: hold spacebar.
The game is very easy to play and very good fun!
The 3D graphics won't worry the creators of the Gran Turismo franchise, but for a basic arcade game created using Game Maker, it is very good indeed.
The crashes aren't very realistic, but again, for a simple arcade game, they are good enough, as they clearly show you have crashed.
Overall, the game is a very good example of what can be created using Game Maker. The game is simple to play, fun and free, and very addictive!
The graphics won't win any awards, but for a free game they are impressive. Add the feature to import your own music, well thought out difficulty between the levels and the option to save your progress; you have a very good game that will have you hooked for hours!

"Egg Life" is a maze game in which you will be put in the situation of being an egg waiting to be cooked! The only difference is that you have to fight back and escape instead of letting yourself get fryed or boiled.

"The Hungry Spider" is our new platform game that will make you run after chocolate, burgers and cherries as a cute spider! Jump from shelf to shelf trying to get more goodies and be careful not to get poisoned!

"Apple Catch" is a catcher game that will test your speed, attention and reactions! You just have to catch the apple before the worms do but be careful, the apple increases it's speed every time it gets caught!
